(#12) fanfiction time 🥑
welcome to 2011, nerds
I wasn’t planning to do this…
But yesterday I was musing over ways to share the editing process with you.
I can’t show you my clients’ manuscripts (per our contracts).
I could probably show you the first drafts of my fantasy series, The Vitalian Chronicles.
Then I reached back through a wormhole to my 17-year-old self and found the solution:
I wrote two HALO fanfictions that I’m going to share with you.

2011 me; please note that this was before I morphed into an avocado.
Am I nervous to expose 2011 me’s work to the glaring sunlight of 2026? You betcha.
But this is the perfect opportunity to show you three things:
How a professional editor does their job
How much a writer can grow
How much a person’s hair can improve (seriously)
And the best part?
I guessed my old FanFiction password on the first try.
I’m dropping the first excerpt on Thursday. If you want an inside look at the editing process, this is the moment—so invite your writer friends to follow along!
Addison
